Ian has over 30 years of experience in enterprise software and SaaS, including 15 years in CTO and C-suite roles, building and scaling B2B platforms from the ground up and taking over established products across FinTech, financial services, automotive, procurement, and maritime.

Most recently, as Group CTO of a successful multi-brand SaaS business, Ian led the transition from standalone point solutions to a unified SaaS platform and ecosystem, launched the group's AgenticAI and AI imaging capabilities, and stood up a ground-up offshore engineering hub in India. Across his career he has led technology through 20+ acquisitions and integrations and contributed to over $2bn in realised exit valuations across FTSE, PE, and VC-backed businesses.

Skills and experience

Ian has a deep, current technical background in cloud-native SaaS architecture on AWS, .NET and modern web platforms, DevOps, data engineering, and applied AI. He has led global engineering functions across the UK, Europe, US, Far East and India, with team sizes into the low hundreds, and partners closely with CEOs, CFOs, and boards on platform modernisation, M&A technology due diligence, and AI strategy. He also holds fractional CTO and board advisory mandates across listed, PE, and VC-backed businesses.
